Fellowship

The people of Hope gather in shared fellowship, study, and service. The many activities and special events offer something for everyone. So come, join us as we find joy in our shared faith, gifts, laughter and service.

The Hope Lutheran Church Women are members of the WELCA. Through their meetings, special Bible studies, fund raising efforts, conventions, and retreats they find mutual support and enhance the ministry of the church. They normally meet the first Tuesday of the month at 10 AM in the choir room, September through June. Next meeting: Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Breakfast Bible Study is held weekly, September through June, Saturdays at 8:00 AM at Jad’s Restaurant at 137 Back River Neck Road in Essex.

The C-4 Youth Group (Caring Christians Communicating Christ). All youth in grades 6 - 12 (age 11-18) are invited. Activities include: retreats, service projects, hosting bands, outdoor and indoor activities, and opportunities to participate in larger youth gatherings. C-4 meets at various times for special activities. All youth in grades 6-12 are welcome! Next activity: Friday, March 2 at 6 PM. Meet at church to prepare lunches for homeless men, followed by fun activity.

Roast Beef Dinner Saturday, February 18 in the Christian Education Building. Dinner will be served 3 - 6 PM. Tickets $10 adults, $5 children age 4-11, children under 4 years old are free.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, February 21st from 5 - 7 PM. All are welcome to attend. Just drop by the Christian Ed Bldg. anytime between 5-7 and celebrate Shrove Tuesday with us. Menu includes pancakes, sausage, applesauce, coffee, tea and punch. This event is sponsored by the Hope Lutheran Church Women. A freewill offering will be taken.

Lenten Soup Suppers: Wednesdays at 6:15 PM, February 29 - March 28.Soup will be served from 6:16 - 7:00 p.m. Come and enjoy a bowl (or two or three) of soup and breads or crackers and end with a selection of delicious desserts. Lenten Services begin at 7:30 p.m.

Spaghetti Dinner: Saturday, March 31 from 2 - 6 PM in the Christian Education Building. Sponsored by C-4 Youth.
